Looking for something to do in Cape Town this weekend? Here are Candice Bodington’s top spots.
Where to Eat in Cape Town
The Location Bacini’s On Kloof
The Vibe Friendly and inviting. The authentic interior and soft lighting with the smell of freshly baked pizza will leave you feeling like you are in their home.
Best For Pasta. Their spaghetti bolognese is *chef kiss*!
I Love it Because It’s a family-run business, which means I get to enjoy incredible food while supporting locals.
The Location I Love The Dough
The Vibe Trendy and aesthetically pleasing! From the pink neon lights to the cheeky quotes placed around the interior, I Love The Dough was made to be photographed.
Best For Pizza – The Number 1 or the 4.
I Love it Because It can be such a vibe on the weekends and the perfect spot to grab dinner on First Thursdays. They also have the closest version to real cheese for their plant-based pizzas I have ever had to date.

Where To Drink in Cape Town
The Location Cause Effect Cocktail Kitchen
The Vibe “Kinda classy, kinda hood” – their words, not mine! But I couldn’t have said it any better.
Best For Their Nitro Caramel Popcorn Cocktail.
I Love it Because Every cocktail is a work of art and, as a foodie, I genuinely appreciate the thought and craft that goes into making something as beautiful as it is delicious.
The Location Fable Cocktail Bar
The Vibe Lively and energetic – the perfect spot for a night out with the girls!
Best For Cocktails, cocktails and more cocktails! The Kronendal Lover is the best.
I Love it Because They serve interactive signature drinks. You can even use a paintbrush to change the colour of your cocktail – how cool? Also, the people are so high energy and fun to be around when you are in the mood to party.
Where To Glam Up in Cape Town
The Location The Glam Bar
The Vibe Friendly and inviting. And the staff feel like your besties when you leave!
Best For Anything nails, lashes, skin or massages. I recommend the Environ Deep Facial Cleanse and a classic lash set.
I Love it Because Again, the staff are pure magic. I always feel so well attended to and pampered when I go in for an appointment.
The Location Mop Hair
The Vibe Trendy and staffed with the best hair specialists in Cape Town.
Best For If you need a colour specialist to correct a bad job or want the perfect blowout (get The Rich Girl – it's a classic!) you will *never* leave unhappy.
I Love it Because You are never promised anything they can’t do and, when necessary, they will be honest and suggest something that will suit you better.
Where To Shop in Cape Town
The Location Sans Community
The Vibe Clean and simple. Everything has a place and every place has a thing!
Best For Grabbing a special gift last-minute for your fancy mom-in-law or grabbing a few quick things for dinner.
I Love it Because I can grab a gift and something to eat at the same time.
The Location The Old Biscuit Mill
The Vibe Arty and electric! Especially on a Saturday when local businesses set up an outdoor market.
Best For A fun weekend activity with friends or family.
I Love it Because I can grab a coffee, croissant, some lunch, a drink and even a little love present for myself at one of the local stores. It can either be a family outing or a full solo self-love day – you pick!
