The sun has finally made its reappearance after a long, bleak winter. And we are finally ready to emerge out from under our blankets and back into the world. Where to Eat in Joburg
The Location La Parada, Rosebank
The Vibe This is a new extension of the La Parada franchise in Johannesburg. It has a cute aesthetic and a lovely food menu.
Best For They have great tapas including sushi (and you know everybody loves sushi!).
I Love it Because I love the food variety and it is a great spot for a lazy lunch and drinks with the girls!
The Location Nice on 4th
The Vibe This is one of my favourite brunch places. It's in one of the busiest parts of Parkhurst but has the cutest rustic aesthetic.
Best For I love it for its half-and-half breakfast and they are known for their iconic egg baskets – they are definitely the best I’ve had.
I Love it Because I just love how quaint and cosy it is. Just like their name, it’s so nice!
Where To Drink in Joburg
The Location Tang
The Vibe It definitely gives Asian luxury with gorgeous decor finishes and amazing food and cocktails.
Best For The Ikebana cocktail has my heart!
I Love it Because All the cocktails are simple but elegantly presented (for a good IG pic). And the flavour? Outstanding!
The Location Mix Cocktail Bar
The Vibe It’s super relaxed and amazing for sundowners with friends. It has a stunning view of the sunset which makes for some amazing photo ops, too!
Best For Cocktails, cocktails and more cocktails!
I Love it Because It's quite an interesting space and the environment is busy and vibey with people enjoying their drinks and eats.

Where To Glam Up in Joburg
The Location Lash And Dash
The Vibe It's like a pink sanctuary! It immediately changes your mood soon as you step in. The staff are also friendly. Honestly, there is great energy in this space!
Best For Lashes, brows and nails! I definitely recommend a pedicure and brow treatments (ask for a foot massage. You’ll thank me later!).
I Love it Because The staff are so kind and attentive and the space is so welcoming. And who doesn't love all things pink?
The Location Hair by Carol
The Vibe Carol is so kind and so are her colleagues. Going there feels like visiting family. They are super accommodating and always provide excellent service.
Best For I do everything with Carol, from hair treatments to cornrows and, of course, the braids! I absolutely love how she does my hair and am never disappointed.
I Love it Because I've been going ever since I moved to Joburg and I love everything about the experience, from the treatment to the atmosphere.

The Vibe It’s big and has a vibrant feel about it. It’s the perfect place to shop for the latest fashion and cute trends.
Best For It’s a great place for all ages to shop for everything from basics to current trends.
I Love it Because I think they make good-quality jeans and their changing rooms are the best for sneaky mirror selfies!
The Location Jo Borkett
The Vibe It’s a very classy and well-categorised store and the brand produces gorgeous garments that are made locally.
Best For Elegant, affordable luxury pieces that can be styled for fancy occasions or even just a cute date!
I Love it Because This brand makes everything from classy, luxury looks to cute and colourful trend pieces so everyone is catered for.
